“WALK ON!” the rider says to horse with the leader and sidewalkers in step.
“Walk On”, your legs using the horse’s gait, the horse’s muscles to make your muscles stronger, the warm body carrying you to new experiences.
Riding the horse builds confidence, empowers the rider to reach new goals- physical, emotional, social, and spiritual... all with the quiet words of “WALK ON!”.
This is the meaning and mission of Walk On Therapeutic Riding Programs, Inc. Along with fun and the enjoyment of of riding a horse, therapeutic riding and equine assisted activities have been shown to improve muscle tone, balance, posture, coordination and motor development.
