2021 Fall Gala Raises Over $12,000!
Over $12,000 was raised through donations and silent and live auction events at the 20th Anniversary Fall Gala held September 25, 2021 at the Pheasant Hills Golf Course in Hammond, WI.
"We didn't have a gala last year due to Covid," said Program Director Ken Giske. "People really came out this year and supported the program. The dollars raised are on par with pre-Covid events and will help us continue to provide therapeutic riding programs and care for our equine partners."
Attendees enjoyed fun and excitement with a Bar-B-Que dinner provided by Hurtgen Catering of Hammond, WI and Al Zeihl's Wild Game of Menomonie, WI along with live music by the Walk-On Saddle Tramps. Individuals and businesses throughout Pierce and St. .Croix counties in Wisconsin and Washington County in Minnesota donated items for the auctions. "We were blown away by everyone's generosity," Giske said. "We couldn't put on an event like this without our spnsors providing the venue, food, music, and all the items for the auctions as well as everyone who volunteers to work at the event."
For 20 years Walk On has provided individualized horseback riding related to equine assisted activities and therapeutic riding instruction to children and adults with any physical, developmental, social and emotional disabilities.
Event proceeds help support the ongoing operating costs of equine healthcare and feeding and facility maintenance.
